All required exits and access ways must be identified by readily visible signs where the exit or the way to reach it is not immediately visible to the occupants. Directional “EXIT” signs are required in locations where the direction of travel to the nearest exit is not immediately apparent. Signs should be so located and of such size, color, and design as to be readily visible. Ontario Fire Code requires that emergency lighting be inspected and tested monthly to ensure that the emergency lights will function upon failure of the building power supply and annually to ensure that the unit will function for the required time frame, as dictated by building occupancy and code requirements. ISP performs the following service for the emergency lighting and exit signs:
- Annual/Monthly Inspections and Testing under simulated power failure conditions
- Installation and repairs
